easys v2.1

Conclusion

easys is a good linux distro. For what it is worth, I like the goals it is aiming to. It is simple, nice looking, fast enough and not too hard to install. Some errors I found are not entirely the developers to blame. It has to do with a choice of packages included and their state of development.

Installation went well, it recognised most of my notebooks hardware and adjusted my screen properly. There is a KDE Control Center to tune your system, but a little more distro-specific documentation would be of good use.

This distro aims to home users and small office users. With a different selection of printer or sound settings you may have, it could be close to bullseye.

easys 2.1 needs some small  adjustments, some additional programs in K main menu (or instructions for users where to find those programs and how to start them) and then it will truly be in the spirit of its name: easy to use.
